Hello, friend!

â€‹Christine AKA Duckumz (they/them) is a non-binary queer artist who creates colorful paintings and mixed media art. They are 39 years old and grew up in New York, where they were fortunate to have resources, a supportive community, and family around as they grew up. They now live in Florida and are struck by the negative things that are happening to and regarding the LGBTQ+ community. It is hard to accept the stark contrast, as much of their life they have only seen acceptance and progress.

Art is a way for them to express their feelings revolving around Florida’s current political climate, which have seeped into national problem. Painting is their safe space where they are free from judgement, hate, racing thoughts, fear, depression, and hopelessness. Painting also gives them something positive to focus on and a way to share that light with the world.

When they are not working or painting, they enjoy spending time in the garden or on the water fishing, and they always have music playing. They are also very active in the recent protests that have erupted in response to the Trump regime.
